Asbestos Awareness Training at Asbestos Business Contractors Ltd is fully accredited to UKATA specification and courses can be tailored to meet the requirements of clients, focussing on the particular area in which their business operates.  Training can be conducted in our own office or at a location of the client’s choice providing that the facilities are suitable for training purposes. 

Asbestos Awareness Training is required to be given to employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to Asbestos. In particular, it should be given to all demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that their work will disturb the fabric of the building because Asbestos Containing Materials may become exposed during their work. Exemption from this requirement would apply only where the employer can demonstrate that work will only be carried out in or on buildings free of Asbestos Containing Materials.

Asbestos Awareness Training courses last approximately four hours and include a short test.  Certificates are valid for two years from the date of training.  The requirement for Asbestos Awareness Training cannot be underestimated, in particularly for individuals concerned with management and decision making in the workplace, those involved with maintenance and any other individual who may be exposed to Asbestos through their work.

Training can be conducted for up to fifteen individuals on a single course enabling a cost effective and highly efficient service to be offered to clients.
